A Look Back at DeepPavlov Community Call #1 & Announcing Monthly Community Calls

Hi! We held our very first online DeepPavlov Community Call on October 9, 2020. This virtual meeting brought together DeepPavlov community members from across the globe working in the conversational AI space. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our attendees who connected to our call.

What made the DeepPavlov Community Call #1 so special? First, it was the first call, and second, it happened the next day after our talks at NVIDIA GTC Fall 2020. Here’s the wrap up of the Community Call #1:

Multiskill Conversational AI as New Standard

Mikhail Burtsev, Head of DeepPavlov, presented his perspective on the Multiskill future of the Conversational AI, our approach to it through the DeepPavlov ecosystem, and talked about the way we’ve designed our DREAM socialbot for Alexa Prize 2019.

High-Level View of DeepPavlov Roadmap for Q4 and Beyond

Daniel Kornev, CPO of DeepPavlov, provided a glimpse at the DeepPavlov product roadmap, including work on open-sourcing our Dream sociabot (adapted from its ancestor from Alexa Prize 2019), dev tools, and more demos.

Exclusive NVIDIA GTC Fall 2020 Demo of Deepy 3000

Daniel Kornev, CPO DeepPavlov, made a live demo of Deepy 3000, our Moonbase A.I. Assistant inspired by Gerty from the Moon Movie made by Duncan Jones. Deepy was built using the DeepPavlov technology stack in ~1.5 weeks including integration of ASR and TTS from NVIDIA.

There’s more to come with DeepPavlov.

Announcing Monthly Community Calls

Given how fun was our first Community Call we are now planning to host a Regular Monthly DeepPavlov Community Call. Feel free to join future calls!

When: last Thursday of every month, 8:00am Pacific (6pm MSK, and 4 or 5pm UTC depending on DST)
Duration: ~1.5 hr
